We celebrated Ami's first Father's Day today with a trip to his parents house. Some really suprising things happened.
First Ami was awarded Father of the Year--even though he's only been a father for 3 1/2 weeks. He definately deserves this honor as on our way home from his parents house, the car started to make a funny noise--Yup-a flat tire on the freeway in 100 degree heat with a newborn in the car. We managed to pull into a gas station where I am very proud to say Ami changed the tire. I really wanted to take pictures for blogging sake but was afraid to make him mad--especially after I made a comment about finding a "real" man to help him. I felt really bad about it-but he showed me and before I knew it we were on the road again with the spare. He even took my car up to Wal-Mart to get a new tire--I guess it was father's day initation. I am so proud of him--he is definately my father of the year!
And finally--again because I have no patience-I keep checking the photographers website to see if she has posted any more of Chloe's pictures from her photo shoot and was so excited to see her blog about father's day and used this picture of Chloe and Ami. I don't know if you can tell but Chloe is screaming her head off and Ami is trying to calm her with his kisses.
