New Year's Eve began with an exciting trip on the new Phoenix Light Rail. It was free the first couple of days it was open and it was packed. We parked at a park and ride and then took the "metro" to Sun Devil Stadium for the Insight Bowl
The Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. the Kansas Jayhawks. It is always a fun game and we had tickets with some friends in one of the skybox suites.
We then headed to our friend Kathleen and Dan's house for a gourmet New Year's Eve Dinner and a fun evening with friends playing wii.

Dan and Kathleen have a New Year's Tradition that they call the Polar Bear Plunge--basically jumping into their freezing cold pool at midnight. Luckily they also have a warm jacuzzi to recover in. I did not par-take, but opted to be the photog. But they all jumped in and out so fast I didn't get very good shots.
