Thanksgiving: The case of the lost turkey neck..

We had Thanksgiving at our house--a small crowd--my Mom, and Stepdad Ken, and his Mom, Lola, and Ami's parents, brother, Kfir, and Uncle Jacob.
We were in charge of the turkey and woke up early on Thanksgiving morning to start preparing it--It was a frozen turkey, so it had been thawing in the fridge since the weekend before. I was in charging of reading the recipe instructions and Ami was preparing the turkey. We took off the wrapping and cleaned it inside and out. We removed the bag of giblets, but then the directions said to remove the neck. Sounds simple enough--but we just couldn't find where it was--we looked and felt in all the holes and there was no neck to be found. I was watching the Today Show and saw that they had a Turkey Hotline--I called it to inquire where the neck may be, but it was busy, so we called Ami's mom, and she said if we couldn't find it that it was possible that are Turkey's neck was not put back in--so we proceeded to stuff the turkey and seasoned it. We used a herb roasted turkey recipe and it turned out fabulous.

After dinner, we all played Wii bowling and had a great time--with Ami's Mom and Uncle being the Wii Bowling Champions.
As Ami started carving off the leftovers from the turkey and all of sudden something fell out-and Ami had finally found the missing Turkey neck-We don't know where it could have been hiding all that time, but were happy that the case was finally solved. It made for some good belly laughs at the end of the night.
