One of the best places on Earth!!

No--not Disneyworld. Crystal Pier in Pacifc Beach, San Diego. There you can literally sleep over the ocean. It was built in 1927 and is about 25 little cottages spread out over the pier with white and blue decor over-looking the beach. We fell asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing into the shore-we felt as if we were on a cruise ship that did not move. Everything is in within walking distance and we couldn't have asked for better weather. This is becoming a new annual trip for us as we have already booked again for next March. Our friends Eric & Laura and Caryn & Rob also went and we had a great time, eating, dancing, and enjoying the beach. You have to book several months in advance and getting a room during the summer seems impossible at this point, but we are happy to go there during spring break time-if only for a weekend. I give Crystal Pier 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, triple diamond, and three cheers.
