This years Insight Bowl was once again played at Sun Devil Stadium, the new twist was that it was on New Year's Eve. Once again Insight hosted a great Tailgate for employees, families, vendors and clients: so that is where we started. Then it was up to the top of the stadium as we were lucky enough to have seats in one of the skyboxes.
What a view from up there. We also found another A on A mountain that not too many people get to see.
To start the game. Paratroopers jumped into the stadium with different flags--one with the Arizona State Flag (the real state not the school), then flags from Indiana, and OK State, then the Insight Flag (the crowd went wild for that one), then the American Flag. Then a fly by which seemed to be right in front of us. Oklahoma State won the game. It wasn't nearly as exciting as last years Insight Bowl when Texas Tech came back from behind to win in the last seconds, but it is always a fun event. We were planning on following up this bowl game with the Fiesta Bowl on the 2nd, but we are leaving for Telluride the next morning and the Stadium is just so far out there. So we'll watch it on TV.
