A few weeks ago we attended a cooking class at Sweet Basil--the topic was pizzas. We made some incredible pizzas that day including a butter nut squash pizza topped with maple chicken and a cranberry chutney. We then purchased a pizza stone and pizza peel and are making gourmet pizzas at home like pros--well almost.
Our first pizza-I like to call in our veggie co-op pizza, because we made it all from veggies we got in our veggie co-op. It was a tomato sauce with mozzerella cheese, spinach, roasted corn, zucchini, and mushrooms. It wasn't quite round and actually turned out heart shaped, but was delicious!
Our second pizza turned out a little rounder and was a pesto pizza topped with fresh mozzarella and gouda, with garlic confit, sun dried tomatoes, and salami.
We hope to have a dinner pizza party soon and make all sorts of yummy varieties!
