The Erickson era in Sun Devil football started off with a bang--a 45-3 win over San Jose State. What a great first tailgate!!! New grill, yummy brats, and little Avery in the cutest ASU shirt ever. One univited guest who always comes out early in the season--those damn ants--but we were armed with the spray and even earned the respect of the Hell Hogs: http://www.asuhellhogs.com/ who were tailgating next to us--as they were in ant hell central. Eric and Laura were greatly missed, but in true tailgate mom fashion--Laura baked brownies, made pasta salad, had all our tailgate stuff neatly packed for us to pick up, and even bought us beer. We love you guys so much and it isn't a true tailgate without you. We have a record 8 home games this year and the first 4 games are at home--why they put all the games home first when it is 110 degrees out--I don't know, maybe it is to sweat out the other team--it is the house of heat after all. Can't believe it has been a year since the Sun Devil invasion of Pearl Street--wonder if they'll do the same to Mill Ave? Probably not, since they'll go home from the game wondering why they left cool Boulder for the hot streets of Tempe. I posted some pics just to reminisce last year. Anyone have the video of all of us piling out of the van? Next week: Tailgate starts at 4:00pm. Game at 7:15pm--its on TV. We'll be serving up Ralphie Burgers,Buffalo Wings, and Colorado Bulldogs--Don't miss it..
